Friday Confessional

Happy Friday y'all!

I have a lot to confess this week.

I confess... that I've had a major obsession with French dressing for the past two weeks. Like eat it inappropriately on stuff it doesn't belong on obsession. Like have a salad for a snack at night so I can eat it kind of obsession. It's not that I hadn't tried it before. It's that Food Lion had dressing on sale, and I thought to myself, "I haven't had this in awhile. It looks good." So I bought it. And I went through it. And then I went back to get more while it was on sale.
I confess... that I may be eating French dressing before this post is over.

I confess... that while googling a picture of French dressing, I used the picture of the old Kraft French dressing bottle because I like it better than the new one.

I confess... that I'm one of THOSE people who doesn't smile at other people when they walk by. 

Hold up. Rewind. Let me explain myself.

It all happened like this:

my sister: You know what I hate?

me: What?

my sister: I really hate it when I pass someone, and I smile at them to be nice, and they don't smile back, and they look at me like I'm crazy.

me: You know what I hate?

my sister: What?

me: When I'm walking past someone who randomly gives me this awkward smile as I pass by!

my sister: So you're one of those people who doesn't smile or purposely avoid eye contact so they don't have to smile?!

Yep. That'd be me.

I confess... I really need to get over that introverted, social phobia that makes me avoid simple social situations like that.

I confess... that I have watched this commercial wayyy too many times for it to still be this funny to me!

I confess... this post was WAY too easy for me to write!

Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday y'all!

This week is just flying by for me!

Here's what I'm thankful for today.

I'm thankful for blogging. This blog has turned into so much more than I ever dreamed when I started writing. I had no idea that I would be capable of holding the interest of even one person that I didn't know IRL or that wasn't related to me. But I kept writing and you stuck around, and I am so thankful for all of your sweet comments and the conversations we have. It makes my day!

I'm thankful for all the "me" time I've had this week. It's been so nice to do some crafting and stuff just for fun before I start back to school in a couple of weeks.

I'm thankful for the great weekend I had with my husband for our anniversary last weekend.

I'm thankful that my mom is coming up to visit me this weekend!

Miscellany Monday

It feels so good to be back! I haven't written a blog post since last Monday. I would love to tell you that it's all because I had company, and I was busy having a fabulous time spending time with them. That's only partly true. The other half is that while I had company I was very, very sick! I was so sick that by the end of the day, all I wanted to do was for my NyQuil to kick in and pass out. It definitely wasn't ideal to be sick while having seven guests. Nevertheless, I had a great week spending time with family and friends. And after spending Thursday and Friday in bed, I finally recovered :) You know it was bad if I didn't even feel like blogging!

Well, my little kitten finally has a name! Names had been narrowed down to Sushi and D'Artagnan, and after spending lots of time with his little personality we decided that he was definitely a D'Artagnan. Besides that, Chris really didn't like the name Sushi.

So where did I get the name D'Artagnan from?
