What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday y'all!

This week has flown by since it's a four day work week!

That's just one of the things I'm loving on this beautiful June day! Link up HERE.

I'm loving that my birthday is Saturday!

I'm loving that my family is coming up to see me for my birthday this weekend, and we are going to Carowinds!

I'm loving that there will be dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant and chocolate cake!

I'm loving the house full of furbabies I have since I'm still keeping my parents' dog and cat in addition to my two pups!

I'm loving the pretty headband that I just got in the mail from {just.lovely.things}! This is my second headband from Heather, who hand makes them, and they are absolutely adorable!

I'm loving this month's topic from The Shine Project! It's all about finding beauty and self image.

As always, I'm loving my sweet husband and all the time we got to spend together this weekend!

What are you loving today?

Just a reminder, I'm loving that my Thankful Thursday link up starts tomorrow!!! Come tell us what you're thankful for!

Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday y'all!

I'm writing random today and linking up with Carissa at lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday!

{dinner and a show}

Last night my husband and I went out to dinner at O'Charleys with his parents for my birthday which is Saturday. My husband and I went to our local amusement park, Carowinds, after dinner to see the special Memorial Day LED light show and fireworks. We had such a great time!

{what goes up, must come down}

I am still seeing the number on the scale drop thanks to Weight Watchers! I've almost lost ten pounds on the programs, fifteen all together. Also, I'm only two pounds away from reaching weight loss goal number two!

{count your blessings}

I'm very excited to host my new linkup, Thankful Thursday, for the very first time this week! I'm hoping to see a lot of people participate and share what all they're thankful for this week.

{thank you}

I just wanted to thank everyone who has served or is currently serving in our armed forces. I also want to thank the families of those who have served and are currently serving. Today would not be possible if it weren't for your sacrifices! To read more about what Memorial Day means to me, click HERE.

{baby proof}

I just finished reading Emily Giffin's book Baby Proof. I thought it was a good book but not as good as the other two in the series. Did anyone else think that compared to the other two this one was kind of a let down? I think I just expected so much more out of the book that I couldn't help thinking, "That's it?!"

I hope everyone has a wonderful, and safe Monday and Memorial Day!

{much needed quality time}

My husband and I live about 20 minutes away from an amusement park Carowinds. Since we live so close, we got season passes so we could enjoy going this summer while I'm out of school. The neatest part about Carowinds is that it sits right on the border between South Carolina and North Carolina. I remember as a kid thinking it was so neat to hop back and forth between the two states and wave to my parents on the other side of the border. The park has a two track roller coaster called Thunder Road that divides the border and has a South Carolina train and a North Carolina train. There's a lot more than that, but I always thought it was cool. My husband and I went yesterday and had such a good time! We definitely needed some time together to just have fun. I'm excited because the water park inside Carowinds will open up for the first time of the season Memorial Day weekend, and we are planning to go! There's supposed to be fireworks :)

Thunder Road

This was my husband and I last year when I came for a visit before we got married. He was on the SC side and I was on the NC side.

Here are some pictures I took yesterday.

{me time}

I have finally had the time to sit down and read some books that I had really wanted to read but didn't have time to because of school. Thanks to everyone who gave me book suggestions! I hope I have enough time to make it through my summer reading list!

{royal wedding southern style}

I am beyond excited that on Saturday my favorite country singer Miranda Lambert tied the know with Blake Shelton! I'm going to need pictures of the wedding posted pronto! I hear she wore her mom's wedding dress :)

{operation skinny minny}

I am happy to report that operation skinny minny has been a huge success so far! Thank you Weight Watchers! This is the first time that I have able to stay committed to a diet, and it's nice to see the results! I have two weeks until I have to wear a bathing suit for Memorial Day weekend....hopefully I can drop four more pounds by then :)

Well...that was random :)

I hope everyone has a marvelous Monday!
