Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday y'all!

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

I'm writing random today! Link up HERE.

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{the new addition}

I spent the weekend getting used to being the mommy of a kitten! I had several cats when I was growing up, but this is the first one that is my responsibility.

The dogs and I have learned a lot about him over the past few days.

He loves the computer. Sleeping on the keyboard. Attacking my fingers as I type. Starting random programs and games of Spider Solitaire. You know, the usual.

He loves to meow. Especially at night when he goes in the cage at night used to go in the cage at night. That lasted all of ONE night. He meowed and made quite a ruckus climbing the sides of the cage for over and hour before I had to let him out. I guess that's where the saying "Dogs have owners; Cats have staff" came from.

He loves his toys.

Jingle bell balls

Laser pointer

Feather toy

Scratching post with bouncy ball

He still doesn't have a name yet. Names under serious consideration have been narrowed down to:

Sushi
-or-
Dartanion

Could those two names be any more opposite?! I have literally looked at every name in the book. I've always had a really easy time naming pets, but for some reason this one is hard. Hopefully my little man will have a name soon!

{It's finally here!}

My Nikon D3100 came in the mail on Friday! I've been enjoying learning how to use it. I can't wait to get better at it.

{I still can't believe it}

This weekend while I was at Petsmart browsing, I saw this product called Kitty Caps Nail Caps. They are nail caps for your cat! It's supposed to keep them from clawing your furniture and scratching you. You glue them on and they're supposed to last for at least a month before they need replacing. They even come in colors for girl cats! While looking at reviews, I see that they also make them for dogs too :) The reviews on them are pretty good overall so I think they'll be worth a try for little Sushi/Dartanion!

I always swear I've seen it all, and then something else comes along.

I hope everyone has a great start to their week today!

  4. Rebecca, he is ADORABLE. I'm more of a dog person myself but I love kittens! He looks so sweet. I love his color! I vote for Sushi too! :) Those nail caps look like they would be hard to put on but cute and would probably help out a good bit. I love that picture of him with the ball between his paws. His face is as precious as it gets. I vote for that picture on your sidebar! :D

  5. He is very cute

    My sister in law is a vet tech and she used to put the soft paws on her cat, they work pretty good unless you have any wicker furniture, they get caught in the wicker and can pull off. She used to get colors to coordinate with the seasons
