Happy Thursday y'all!
First of all, I wanted to let everyone know that there is an awesome new blogger in town! My little sister Michelle has finally given in and joined the blog world! You should all hurry over and become a follower! That way one day when she has 1000 followers because she's that awesome, you can say "I was one of her first followers!" :) You can find her blog HERE.
Now onto Thankful Thursday!

Now onto Thankful Thursday!
Here's what I'm thankful for on this beautiful day.
This week, it's all about the simple things.
I'm thankful for electricity.
That lets my air conditioner run on a hot day.
That keeps my refrigerator running so that my food stays fresh.
That lets the pump to my well run so that I have water.
That lets me turn on the lights when it's dark so I can see what I'm doing.
The lack of a Thankful Thursday post last week was largely due to my power going out last Wednesday night around 9:00 p.m. It stayed off all night and didn't come back on until around 7:30 the next morning! Can you say hot in SC with no air conditioner on a summer June night?! The worst part was, I had 2 guests here Wednesday night with 5 more on their way Thursday morning. Fortunately, the power came back on in plenty of time for me to cook lunch before the rest of my guests got here. Thankful!
I'm thankful for good health this week! I was really sick last week in addition to all the above so I'm glad to be feeling much better.
I'm thankful that my fingers didn't break when I slammed them in the garage door. When the power went out, we had to disconnect the garage door opener so we could open and shut it manually. So when I tried to shut it manually I crushed three of my fingers. Fortunately they were just bruised and not broken. Thankful!
I'm thankful for my husband who let me whine while I was sick and had hurt fingers. He took great care of me and even made me dinner in bed!
What are you thankful for this week?
Link up and let us know!
Awwww, what a sweet husband! Glad you are feeling better and that you didn't break any fingers.
ReplyDeleteOuch! Your poor fingers! So glad they are ok!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that your hubby took good care of you!
Things like electricity and running waters and such get taken for granted until you don't have it! :) It's so easy to get accustomed to having those things.
Ouch! I'm sorry about your fingers! Hopefully they feel much better soon. What a sweet hubby to let you have a chance to whine! Sometimes that goes a long way in the healing process.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for electricity as well! Especially on these 95-100 degree days. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are to live somewhere where we have it!
I hope you don't mind, I have a blogging friend that just started WW and she's looking for a blogspot WW buddy. I gave her your blog addy, so she may be stopping by to say hi and ask for some pointers soon! :o)
ReplyDeleteawww glad you are feeling better and that you didn't break your fingers! I hope you have a wonderful thursday!
