Miscellany Monday

Happy Monday y'all!

I hope that all of those mothers out there had an amazing Mother's Day, and for all of you who aren't, I hope you had a great day with your mom!

Today I'm linking up with Carissa at lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday!

Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

{soul surfer}

Over the weekend, I took my mom to see Soul Surfer. It was so good! It was one of those very inspirational movies that leave you motivated to do all you can with your life, and definitely a "feel good" movie. I didn't think Carrie Underwood's acting was so hot, but she was a minor character so it didn't detract from the movie :) I thought it was really neat that at the end of the movie they showed home video footage of the girl, Bethany Hamilton, that the movie was based off of so you could see how true to life the movie really was.

{water for elephants}

I am getting ready to read my first book of the summer, Water for Elephants. I just downloaded it to my Nook today. I am super excited because I've heard from so many of you that it was such a good book! I'm pretty sure it's going to be a pretty fast read :)

{playing dress up}

Sometimes I wish life was as easy as when I used to play dress up. I could be whatever I wanted to be that day: a nurse, a teacher, a mom, a vet.... I just really hope I figure out what I want to do with my life. Some days it seems like everyone has it figured out but me.

I hope everyone has a great start to their week!

  2. It sounds like you had a very nice weekend! I watched Soul Surfer and enjoyed it too! I was a little surprised Carrie didn't have a bigger role but she wasn't really missed. The movie was great on it's own. That picture is precious! I miss those days too!

  6. I took my daughter to see Soul Surfer a few weeks ago. My thoughts were the same as yours - great movie, but maybe Carrie should stick to singing. :o) Her parts were so awkward!

    Everyone is talking about Water For Elephants. I'm beginning to think I'm the only person who hasn't read this! :o)
